The discovery and knowledge of the ancestors who helped make each of us unique individuals is an enriching experience. Not only do we seek to know ourselves and to pass on our heritage to others, the solving of the puzzle itself is an exciting quest! If you have a passion like we do for discovering your family roots, why not enjoy the fellowship of other researchers and join us at one of our meetings or Help Sessions. Our History Learning how to find their ancestors inspired a group from the northwest suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio to form the Cuyahoga West Genealogical Society in 1976. On April 30th 1977, Cuyahoga West became the 29th charter as a member chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society and is proud to be part of the OGS success. Today the group continues to welcome all interested in this fascinating pursuit of family history.
