(2001) MOSES VAN WAGNER, b 1808 NY, m REBECCA MILLER, b 1810 Pennsylvania. In the 1880c for Tiffin Township, Defiance County, Ohio he was age 72 and she was age 70, married for 40 years with five children born to them, three of those presently living. Enumeration reveals that the father was born in New York State and the mother born in Pennsylvania. Her father born in Ohio and her mother in Virginia.

(3001) CONRAD MILLER VAN WAGNER, b 8/16/1837 Fulton County, Ohio, d 9/1/1914 at 4:30 p.m., age 77 years and 16 days, Village of Archbold, Fulton County, Ohio (per death certificate – signed by P.M. (Perry Miller) Van Wagner of Archbold on 9/2/1914), m 9/23/1860 at Sandusky, Ohio (name recorded as COONROD VAN WAGONER) to MARY JANE HITE, b 1/18/1839 Ohio, d 12/26/1916 Village of Archbold, age 77-11-8 at 5:00 p.m. (per death certificate #49999, volume 1455 – signed by Mrs. Clarence Reprogle and states that her parents were unknown). He served in Company H, 169th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. In microfilm records for Pensions and Land Bounty Rights, certificate #67589, he was listed as CONRAD M. VAN WAGNER, alias MILLER VAN WAGNER, and his widow listed as MARY J. VAN WAGNER.

Mary Jane Hite’s siblings were: (1) Elizabeth 1834-1895 (2) John M m. Mary E. Neff (3) Isaac M. m. Susannah Doll (4) Cynthia m. Samuel Neff (5) unknown (6) Catherine A. m. Franklin Zimmerman.

(4011) PERRY MILLER VAN WAGNER, b 7/6/1861 Defiance, Sandusky County, Ohio, d 2/12/1935 Fayette, Ohio, m 6/2/1885 to MARY ELIZABETH RIES, b 3/3/1867 Fulton County, Ohio, d 9/10/1953 Ionia, Michigan, daughter of John George Ries (1821-1872) and Caroline Scheer (1829-1912), both born in German Bavaria. Buried New Evansport Cemetery, her gravestone reads "Elizabeth". He was a machinist and resided in Sandusky for fifty years.

(4013) FRANK VAN WAGNER, b ca1867, m ELIZABETH "MARY" E. HOCKMAN, b ca1871. They resided Stryker, Ohio. In 1880c Tiffin Township, Defiance County, the following family is enumerated:

William Hockman age 39, born Pennsylvania, (1840-1912) both parents born Prussia.

Elizabeth age 33, born Bavaria, (1847-1945) both parents born Bavaria.

Sarah E. age 13, born Ohio.

Caroline J. age 12, born Ohio.

Jacob H. age 10, born Ohio (In 1920c Jacob was age 49, his wife Christina, age 47,

with son Glen, age 20 (1899-1983).

Mary E. age 8, born Ohio (this is undoubtedly Elizabeth E. Hockman)

Jesse O. age 2 months, born Ohio.

Buried in Morenci, Michigan. In 1910c she was age 11, living with her parents.
