All Delaware County Genealogical Society meetings are scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Tuesdays, at the Community Room of the Delaware County District Library, 84 E. Winter St., Delaware, unless otherwise noted.  If the Delaware City schools are canceled, due to inclement weather, the meetings below will be canceled and/or rescheduled. 

 

 

April 12, 2012, 7:30 p.m.,  Rev. John Fitzgerald Topic: "Quaker Genealogy and Migrations Patterns to Ohio (1775-1820)"
 

May 12, 2012,  Delaware County Pioneers Banquet, Terrace Room, Village Campus Center, Willow Brook Christian Village, 100 Willow Brook Way South, Delaware (Off of South U.S. 23); Reservations Required.  

 
June 6, 2012 - Annual Church History and Potluck at First Presbyterian Church, 73 W Winter St, Delaware, OH. We will gather about 5:30 anf have our meal at 6 p.m. Then Steve Shaw will share pictures and early records of Delaware families. We will then get to tour the facility, parts of it dating bace to 1840.

October 2, 2012 - Richard Barrett, a founding member of the Columbus Historical Society, will speak on 'Preparing For and Researching in Germany'.

 

November 13, 2012 at 7:30 p.m in the Community Room at the Delaware County District Library: Display of a 1922 Radnor Ohio quilt. There are about 550 names on this quilt & we will research some of those names for the program.

 

December 4, 2012 at 7:30 p.m in the Community Room at the Delaware County District Library: Members and guests will share memories and memorabilia of the past.
