ADAM MARIHUGH

Adam MARIHUGH, 71, 307 Gray St., who formerly was a teamster and later a taxicab driver, died Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Defiance County Home. Tiffin tp., where he had been staying for the last 18 months.

He had been ill for the last eight years and had suffered a number of heart attacks, the last shortly before he died.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the MANSFIELD and MAST funeral home with burial in the Brunnersburg cemetery. The Rev. Jay HORNISH, Church of the Brethren, will officiate.

He was married on July 16, 1907 to the former Mary HUFFMAN of Defiance who survives. He also leaves three sons, Elmer and Amos, both of Defiance, and Clarence, Warwick, Va,; four daughters, Mrs. James (Sylvia) MILLER, Defiance, Mrs. Kenneth (Julia) HIGGINS, Toledo, Mrs. Vaughn (Lucille) SCHLEGEL, Broughton, and Mrs. Russell (Ella Mae), BROWN, Defiance; 37 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Anna CORCELLIOUS, Defiance.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Ross and Woodrow; five brothers, John, Sam, Henry, Amos and Ebon; and five sisters, Mrs. Etta GREISER, Mrs. Margaret GREISER, Mrs. Susan MURPHY, Mrs. Lydia BROWN and Mrs. Eva NICELY.

Mr. MARIHUGH was for years a member of the Ohio National Guard company here and was called to serve on the Mexican border just prior to World War I, but because of his family, the call was cancelled. He also played for several years on the old Co. G football team and other independent elevens here.
