Children: Frank b 1851, Mary b 1854, and Charles b 1858. In 1860 they just disappear, no
more records. Poss d Hardin or Crawford Co OH. Charles m2 Sallie WARD 5 Feb 1861 Hardin Co
OH. She b 18 Sep 1842 OH d 23 Jan 1903 Van Wert Co OH. She d/o Francis WARD and Charlotte
?). Children: Hattie, Claude, Phebe, Frederick, Newton, Ellsworth, Blanche, and Frankie
all b 1862-1880. Bad News - Charles was a traveling minister obviously paid by the mile.
Residences and dates extrapolations: 1856-8 Seneca Co, 1858-9 Sandusky Co, 1859-61 Hardin
Co, 1861-2 Crawford Co, 1862-4 Army, 1864-5 Logan Co, 1865-7 Defiance Co, 1867-9 Lucas Co,

Looking for the parents of Alexander(Alexandrer) C. Sanders and his
wife, Susan Woodcox m. 7 Oct 1856 in Defiance Co., OH. They had ten children: George B., b
3 Aug 1869 in Rochester IN; Marion (George's twin); Benjamin Franklin (married Martha
Fair); William; John; Charles (John's twin); Josephus Alvin (Al); James; Edward; Malinda
J. Most are buried in Sherwood Cemetary, Sherwood, OH. I have not verified this, however.
Susan is said to have been of Indian origins. If anyone can help me with this search, I
would appreciate hearing from you as I have not been able to locate any information on my
family.

Indiana and died November 19, 1972 in Hicksville, Defiance County, Ohio. Her father was
James FURNISH and her mother is listed as unknown on her death certificate.

Kessler, who was born in Defiance Co. in 1850. Her father was Frank Kessler, also of
Defiance Co. Mary eventually moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where she married John Boehm.

Henry VAN WORMER was in Defiance Co. OH in 1852 when he deeded land to his four daughters,
Julie Ann MANSFIELD, Welthy CHURCHMAN, Margaret LUCE, and Mary PHILIPS. He would have been
76 at this time. I have no further record of him. He had known sons; Mark, Joab, Henry
Jr., and probably John and Andrew. Does anyone have any further information about Henry?
He was born in NY, lived in Crawford Co. PA in the 1830s and was hard to track after that.

County, Ohio.His parents were Henry BROWN and Sarah SLADE. He was married to Alice Ozilla
SHIRLEY. Alice was born June 9, 1867 in Defiance County, Ohio and died May, 1930 in Akron,
Summit Co., Ohio. They had 7 children: Benner Beuford, Genevra ( adopted out), Russell,
born 1892, Emmaline, born 1894, Hazel, born 1896, Henry, born 1898 and Shirley (male) born
1906.

married (1) James SHIRLEYand (2) Julian FOURNIER. I am looking for and willing to exchange
information about the above surnames. I would really like to prove that Nancy Lewis is the
daughter of William LEWIS Sr.

Searching for information on William Reuben Moyer who married Margaret Melissa Edwards in
Paulding Co. in 1887. In approx. 1892 William divorced Margaret and placed their two
oldest sons (Benjamin & Edward) in an orphagage thought to be in Defiance Co.,Ohio. No
record of him staying in Paulding County, but cannot find him anywhere else. He would have
been about 42 years of age when he divorced and placed the boys in the orphanage. William
was my grandfather. His parents were Daniel and Mary Ann Moyer who came to the U.S. in
1848. William was born in Germany. Other siblings of William were: Elizabeth (born 1848),
Sarah Jane (born 1849), Samuel W. (1854) and Ruffina (1862). Did they settle in Defiance
County?

Seeking information on Isaac WILLIT and Hariett WILLIAMS WILLIT. Residing in Mark Twp,
Defiance Co according to 1880 Census. They had 11 children I know of: John Milton, Levi
Benjamin, Thomas Elwood, Addie Mae, George S., Oliver Edward, Ida Florence, Isaac S.,Eva
Jane, Hattie Maud and Gracy Blanche. I have not been able to locate Isaac + Hariett in
1900 Census for Defiance, or locate death records for them in Defiance Co. Any clues will
be appreciated.

Looking for information on Willson GASTON. This man's first name may have been William. I
have located a marriage record for Willson Gaston and Rhuama Rhodes dated 2/17/1884 in
Defiance Co. They were married by Homer Brundage, Pastor of the UB church. Rhuama was
remarried in the 1890's. I don't know what happened to her first husband. They had four
children: David , A.H., Jose and Effie Mae. Any info appreciated.

Looking for information about Isaac WILLIT. Born Logan Co. about 1838. Listed in 1880
census for Mark Twp.,Defiance Co., He married Harriet WILLIAMS in Logan Co. about 1858. I
cannot find a death record for this man or his wife. They do not show up in the 1900
census for Defiance Co. This couple had 11 children that I know of. Any clues appreciated.

Brothers William F, Edward, and Charles A POTTERF (all born in Ohio in the 1860's),
arrived in Lane County Oregon between 1880 and 1900. From casual checking of census
indexes, etc it seems likely they came from either Defiance or Preble County. I've had no
luck in Preble County. Has anyone heard of any of these men?

For genealogical purposes I am trying to find information on a funeral home located in
Defiance. I believe it might have been family owned/operated. The time frame would have
been 1952-1956. Information given me by a family member seems to think the owner/son of
the owner was married to a MOYER. Can anyone help with the name of the funeral home????
