MRS. RANNEL, 91, TAKEN BY DEATH Delaware Bend Woman's Rites Will Be Held Wednesday Sherwood Oct 31 Funeral service will be held at the Moats funeral home here at 2 p.m. Wednesday for Mrs. Caroline RANNEL, 91, who died suddenly early this morning at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Treasa ENGLISH at Delaware Bend. Mrs. RANNEL who had been in good health, was found dead by Mrs. ENGLISH at 5 a.m. today. The body has been taken to the funeral home and will be returned to the home this afternoon. It will be brought back to Sherwood Wednesday at 10 a.m. Services will be conducted by Rev. Alfred GRETHER, pastor of the German Reformed church here, of which Mrs. RANNEL was a member. Burail will be in Sherwood cemetery. Mrs. RANNEL was born in Pennsylvania Jan. 19, 1848, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel SAUSAMAN. She and her late husband, Jacob RANNEL, who died in 1916, came to the Delaware Bend locality many years ago. Surviving are a brother, Will SAUSAMAN, Bronson, Mich., a daughter, Mrs. John WONDERLY, Delaware Bend, two grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Eight sisters and a brother preceded her in death. A son, Elmer, died in 1930.

Christiana Catherine (SCHWAB) SAUSAMAN

LONG ILLNESS ENDS IN DEATH

Mrs. Christiana Catherine SAUSAMAN, an aged pioneer of the community, depaarted this life Wednesdy morning about 7 o'clock; after suffering for more than a year from a broken hip as the result of a fall being confined to her bed and a wheel chair ever since. She was aged ninety-one years. Funeral services will be conducted at the late home, 1-2 miles east of town, Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock standard time; her pastor, Rev. N. E. VITZ, officiating. Interment will be made in the Sherwood cemetery. .....Sherwood Chronicle.
