3 JULY 1846

May 13--At her residence in Delaware, Defiance County,O., SARAH MULLICAN in the sixtieth year of her age. She was the daughter of Conrad and Sarah Byers, and was born in Jefferson county, VA, emigrated to Ohio in 1812; and settled in Ross county; in 1821, moved to Defiance county, when there were but seven families of whites in the three counties of Paulding, Defiance, and Williams. She embraced religion about the year of 1828, and lived an acceptable member of the Methodist Episcopal Church till death She expressed strong confidence in God during her last illness, and felt that she had a home in heaven. She was often heard to praise God aloud, and continued happy in the Lord as long as she had her speech. She called around her dying bed, her husband and children and charged them to meet her in heaven, and the fell asleep in Jesus. R.P.W.
