Isaiah Larkins (b. Feb 1835, OH), listed on the 1900 U.S. Census, may be the ex-mayor of Dunkirk. If so, he ended up in Colorado around the turn of the 20th century living with his wife Leanona M. The dates would indicate that Isaiah and the family left Ohio shortly after the time his term of mayor expired. He is listed as fighting for Ohio during the Civil War in Co. G, 4th Regiment, O.V.I. for three months on June 4, 1861 entering and leaving as a corporal, and a second tour (assumed to be for the duration) entering on April 19, 1861, as a sergeant and leaving as a second lieutenant with a date of promotion of January 9, 1862, and Co.
