cKinley Sisters.
The McKinley sisters are shown here in 1908. Otta B. McKinley (b. Aug, 1886, OH), shown on the left, was the mother of Marcella Ickes, a long-time teacher for the Forest schools. In the rear is Gladys C. McKinley (b. Aug. 1896, OH), in the front is Gertie McKinley (b. ), and on the right; Elizabeth Anna McKinley (b. Apr. 1888, OH).
They had two brothers, James McKinley (b. Dec 1884, OH) Joe I. McKinley (b. Dec 1898, OH) and, except for James, they lived with their widowed farmer father, Frank M. McKinley (b. Aug 1857, OH), in District 92, Jackson township, in 1920. Frank had been married to Wilhelmina McKinley (b. Aug 1857, OH) before her death prior to 1920. Wilhelmina’s parents were from Switzerland while Frank’s were both from Ohio.
