The Forest High School football team for 1918 is shown in this photograph. Elmer Cramer is somewhere in the photograph.

 
 

Bill Price indicates that his father Russell Price and his uncle Bradley Price are in this photograph taken sometime in 1920.

 

One name written on the back of the 1923 football team photograph, near the facing right end, is Lynn Hune. It is unknown if Lynn is in this photograph.

Forest Football Team - Undefeated! (1932)

The "Championship" Football Team of 1932 went undefeated. The members included: Richard Clinger, Donald Liles, Dale Snider, Orville Switzer, Paul Jolliff, Ralph Moore, Norman Kochler, David Lehman (capt), Arthur Carpenter, Joe Liles, Bert Liles, Glenn Zimmerman, Franklin O'Bryant, Paul Cook, George O'Brien, John Weber, D. Ray Baum (coach), Joe Dickelman, Robert Jones, Jack Fishburn, Lowell Miller, Flowy West, Ferris Buess, Norman Wright (asst. manager), and Rodney Burk (manager).

This is a photograph of Ray Basinger who took the 1923 football team photograph. Ray was born March 25, 1889 in Pandora, Ohio. He was the son of Noah Basinger and Sarah (Niswander) Basinger. He married Elvina Zimmerly in 1915. He had three brothers; Herbert Basinger and Willard Basinger of Lima, Ohio, Waldo Basinger of rural Findlay, Ohio. Ray died of a heart attack on June 29, 1967 in Kenton, Ohio. Beside being a photographer, Ray was the mayor for several terms, the village treasurer, and a councilman.

The football team was photographed by the Bassinger Studio in 1932.

 

There is no date for the photograph of the 1950 football team and it is unknown if Ray Bassinger took the photograph, but it is assumed to be sometime in the late 1950s.

The Junior High football team and coaches (no photo) for the same year consisted of the following individuals: FRONT: S. Schrenk, J. Frederick, R. Bell, D. Brady, A. Linder, S. McKee, C. Shark, L. This photograph is of the construction of the football field bleachers. The photographer was looking south. Photogrpah 9 is another view of the bleachers.

This photograph of the West Side Gym was taken in August of 1935.

The members of the 1948 football team are: Jack Cramer (wide receiver), Carl Toland (tight end), Richard Gordon (tackle), Robert Exline (running back), Everett Albert (guard), Harold Waller (quarterback), Kenneth Phillips (center), Donald George (running back), Norman Clinger (guard), Clayton Cary (tackle), and James Marshall (wide receiver). The other photo is of the Football Offense Team taken on the football field sometime in 1930. The player’s positions are known but the names of the players aren't. D. Ray Baum was a long time football coach for Forest.

Robert Paris Lehman’s photographs were taken sometime in the late 1920s. Bob graduated from Forest in 1929. Above (extreme right) he is standing with the Forest High school football team. He is at the left-rear in the photograph.

To the left is the group that built the ball field tower. They are standing at its bottom. From left to right are Adam Alguire, Charlie Bolden, Elmer Cramer, Lowell McKinley, John Gobrecht and Johnny Green. The two individuals who were in the tower at the time of the photograph have not been identified.
