The game between Belle Center and Forest left Forest with a win of 6 to 5. The players for Forest were: O´Rourke, Barlow, Shields, Metz, Shuler, Donavin, Stillgerger, Liles, and Anderson.

There were over 500 people rooting for this game. The article lists the Dunkirk team playing Forest as the Red Sox. Playing for Dunkirk were: J. Shuff, F. Over 400 people watched the game at the fair grounds in Upper Sandusky. One hundred were from Forest. Paul Bell was the scorer for Wharton, H.F. Shields for Forest. This was a much contested game and there was dispute over the monies received for tickets sold.
DECIDED.
In Sunday’s CINCINNATI ENQUIRER the decision of the Wharton-Forest game at Upper Sandusky was decided in favor of Forest.

Invincibles Beaten.
This was the Musgrave Benefit game. It was played by Forest’s Hygienics and a local pick up team, the Pussy Mutts. Over one hundred and fifty people attended. Of the $19.25 gate, $18.15 was given to L.M. Musgrave at the end of the game. Forest lost 4-3. Players for the Hygienics were: Shields, Studer, Stillberger, Fishburn, Metz, Shuler, Garver, Anderson, and O´Roark. Players for the Pussy Mutts were: W. Liles, Bogart, Price, Meyer, Barlow, Crum, Campbell, B. Liles, and Hafer. Joe Studer was the umpire and H.F. Shields the scorer.

One of the amateur organizations playing baseball around Forest were the "Miller’s Runts". The article explains the reason for the Runts playing the Hygienics earlier, Roy Musgrave was sick. In the article it lists Crum as the local postmaster, gives the first name of Barlow as Tom, credits Morris Meyer as having played professional ball with Kenton’s team in 1894, and listed Price as a local attorney.
