C.M.L. Wiseman (left) was a student of Darius Smith about 1836. Wiseman was married to Mary E. Parr.
Smith lived in Forest, but it is unknown if he taught in Forest.1 Wiseman attended school with Frank Stinchcomb and Nathan Baker. They were both dead by 1902, but Smith, who may have lived in Erie, Ohio in 1850, was still living in Forest at that time.
There is also a Civil War Pension Index listing for a Darius Smith who was with Company I, 8th Ohio Infantry.
