Train Wreck 1

This wreck happened on November 3, 1894, Jos. Cattey & Mike Kennelly were involved.

Engineer Jos. Cattery and conductor Mike Kennelly were fired by the P.F.[W.&C.] because of the wreck. It occurred between Dunkirk and Forest in November, 1893. Kennelly was born in Fremont, Ohio on March 1, 1864. He died in Sandusky, Ohio on March 13, 1946. His parents were John Kennelly and Nora (Castello) Kennelly. He is buried in Calvery cemetery, Fremont, Ohio. There is little known of Joseph Cattery.

In 1870, Michael E. Kennelly was living with the Louis Rumoff family in Port Lawrence township, near Toledo. At the time he was a brakeman and Louis was a switchman.
