Photograph of the Kirby train depot on a postcard from C.G.W. to Hattie Rassman, City, O. Written on the back is, "I recived your card and that drawing is fine ." The postcard was sent from Upper Sandusky to within the same city. It was dated August 7, 1912. The Kirby Depot was located west of the railroad crossing on Main Street.
This wreck happened on November 3, 1894, Jos. Cattey & Mike Kennelly were involved.

Engineer Jos. Cattery and conductor Mike Kennelly were in a wreck which occurred in November 3, 1893 between Forest and Upper Sandusky. They were fired by the P.F.[W.&C.] because of the wreck. Kennelly was born in Fremont, Ohio on March 1, 1864 and died in Sandusky, Ohio on March 13, 1946. His parents were John Kennelly and Nora (Castello) Kennelly. He is buried in Calvery cemetery, Fremont, Ohio. There is little known of Joseph Cattery.

In 1870, Michael E. Kennelly was living with the Louis Rumoff family in Port Lawrence township, near Toledo. At the time he was a brakeman and Louis was a switchman.
