The obituary of Emma Burdett was badly printed in the newspaper and is hereby deciphered as printed.
Emma M. Burdette, aged twenty-one years, died at the home of her parents, in Blanchard township, southeast of Dunkirk, on Thursday, May 9th. The funeral services took place at Harris Chapel on Friday, May 9th, conducted by Rev. Carter.
The deceased was injured by the cyclone that swept over Blanchard township just a year ago, in which her father’s house was badly demolished, she being struck by falling bricks. She was a young lady of irreproachable character, and was beloved by all her friends and relatives in her many noble traits of character.1
