Patterson High School (Oct 1919)

rades 1-4.

The students photographed here were grades 1 to 4 of the Patterson school. The doorway doesn't look like one of the doorways at the front of the building so they were probably photographed at the back of the school. The photograph may have been taken in October of 1919. Note the Oct. 1919 date in the upper right hand corner of the photograph.

nknown Classes.

It is unknown whether either of these two photographs are of Patterson school classes. They may be of Forest school classes.

Unknown Class

The individual second from the left (standing) in the front row of the photograph above may have gone to Forest schools. Aside from the teacher none of the individuals in the photograph above are known. The teacher was Ermal (Smith) Dunn. She was born June 17, 1883 to George Washington & Hariet Adelaide (Haner) Smith. On September 6, 1905 she married Harry G. Dunn who died in 1911. She probably was unable to work after she married. Upon Harry's death in 1911 she returned to teaching. Both of the photographs were probably taken with the students standing in front of the same school building wall.
