Several of the individuals in the Soldiers at Mess photograph are numbered but not named. It is assumed that they are all from the local area and that they had served in during the War of 1898.
easles Epidemic, 1906.
A second measles epidemic broke out in January with fifteen cases reported. In December of 1905 there were seventy-five cases reported.1

The farm of eighty-four and ninty-eight hundredths acres belonging to Willia Duffield was sold to E.E. Kear, of Wharton, for $4,500, to satisfy a claim of $2,100 held by Leonard Scheck.5
Eighty acres in Marseilles township belonging to Sarah V. Durnston were sold Saturday for $2,634, to pay a mortgage held by the trustees of Ohio Westleyan university, amounting to $3,400.2

Peoples Telephone operated the telephone exchanges for Arlington, Forest, Jenera, Mt. Blanchard, Mt. Cory, Rawson, and Wharton.3
illage Celebrates, 1946.
Upper Sandusky, Aug. 10--(INS)--A pageant, parade and homecoming will highlight a three-day centennial celebration this week-end by the nearby village of Wharton.4
