Would like contact with any one researching the Morris family that lived in Staunton from 1846 to 1866.
NATHANIEL 1821-1890, and MATILDA JANE (HENDERSON) MORRIS, 1824-1883, who was the daughter of WESTLY and SARAH (BURSON) HENDERSON, and were married Mar 1846 Fayette Co.. Ohio, they had the following children: SARAH J. b. abt 1847, RICHARD WESTLY b. abt 1848, WILLIAM C. b. abt 1850, MARY E. b. abt 1853, JNO. C. b. abt 1855, LEWIS AUSTIN b. 20 Feb 1856 died 21 Aug 1884, AMANDA E. b. abt 1858,
THOMAS J. b. abt 1863 died 1966, Kirksville, Mo., LAURA F. b. Jul 1864, died 10 Sep 1906. GEORGE, b. abt 1866, and BENJAMIN (Dickie) b. abt 1870 Indiana.
All children born Concord Twp. except Benjamin. Nathaniel Morris served in Company "H" 60th Ohio Vol. Dec.1861, to Sep. 1862 and was captured at Harpers Ferry, Sept. 1862. Became a Pike Contractor and the family moved to Henry County In., in the fall of 1866, lived in Henry Co. for about 20 years before being employed by the Railroad, and moved on Westward, ending up in Mo.
I am looking for Nathaniel's father and mother, he had a sister, Sarah who lived with them in 1850, she was b. abt 1830. Have been working on this family for about 30 years. Charles M Morris in Indiana.

My maternal grandmother Nona DEVER was born in W.C. H. on June 6, 1887. Her
father's name was Sampson DEVER and her mother was Elizabeth SHIELDS. Any
information would be helpful. I have over 200 DEVER names with many large
family groups that I will gladly share with anyone. I am planning on a trip

information regarding Abner Thornton and Rebecca ?. They are listed in
the 1850 Fayette County census in Pain Township with Midway as the post
office. They are the parents of Webster Montgomery, James D., Samuel
W., & Ann M.
Webster Montgomery was born in 1843 and died in 1904. He is buried
in Madison Mills Cemetery. He was married to Rebecca Vance born 8-18-1857
to Thomas Vance & Mary Harrison in Fayette county. Died 4-25-1934 at
Columbus. Buried in Madison Mills Cemetery (I cannot find her
gravesite.)
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
        I have gotten a marriage date from the LDS archive which gives me
the date March 32, 1814 for my ancestor, Jacob Hushaw and Rachel Foster. The place
is listed as Fayette, Ohio.
         Their son Henry is my line and was born on October 24, 1816. Is
there any other information on that marriage record such as the bride or grooms
parents, witnesses etc. Henry married Mary Ann Canoyer on November 21,
1840, don't know if they were still in Ohio at that point.
           Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am glad to
reciprocate with look-ups in New York City if you have any.

Looking for information on my great-grandfather Edward McCardy. I believe he was born in Guernsey County about 1882 and owned a coal mine in the Hocking Valley. He was apparently living near Washington Courthouse in the mid 1950s when he and his wife celebrated their 50th anniversary. He was the father of Albert Wesley Brown who was born to Elizabeth Lee Brown in 1912 out of wedlock. Albert's birth certificate shows Edward McCargish as his father, but it is believed this was an alias.

   I am searching for info on the Hawks and Henkles of
Fayette/Pickaway Counties. My ggrandmother, Delila Hinkle, dau of Salem
Henkle and Elizabeth Hawk. Salem is believed to have been b in VA migrated
to Fayette Co with family{father may have been George}. Elizabeth Hawk,
eldest dau of Michael & Delila Hawk, whose families migrated from Westmoreland Co.
PA.
             I have found extensive info on Hawk line; I have found anc
tree for Salem Henkle{Hinkle) I believe to be same person as above.
             I am looking for info on death of Salem Henkle (ca 1831-1836)
in Fayette Co. and possible verification of anc tree I have found. Numerous
younger brothers/sisters of Salem (on mentioned tree)were born in Fayette
Co; this is why I believe they are same.
             I also have become aware of the German custom of naming eldest
children after grandparents- I am wondering if there is a record of birth
for Delila Henkle(Hinkle), and/or her brother, George(name based on custom)
Henkle(hinkle, both born ca 1820-1826 in Fayette/Pickaway Counties.

Would appreciate any assistance, thank you.

Requesting info on Laura A.Skinner, her parents were Lemuel W. Skinner
an Sarah A. Fisher Skinner. Laura A. was born in Fayette Co. Ohio
in 1877-80. The family had hard times an 6 of the childern were
adopted out to neighbors. At the age of 3 she sent to Arkansas or
Virginia as there are two Laura A. as stepdaughters on the census. One
went to Virginia and adopted family was Mundy the other one went to
Arkansas an lived with the Seawell. She also had a younger brother Elmer
Skinner who was adopted by the Wilson family.

Does anyone have info to share, Will gladly send what I have.
