I am told a living MAWHORR residing in Columbus area might have in their possession a family Bible. Looking for death records of William and Elizabeth (WARD)MAWHORR. William is listed in 1858-1859 Columbus City Directory as a cooper. Looking for marriage date of Lucinda CORCORAN and Joseph MAWHORR. Lucinda died July 14, 1874 in Columbus. Buried in GreenLawn Cemetery. Did Lucinda and Joseph have any children? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I would appreciate any information and leads you might have on James CRAWFORD, (b. 1751, Strabane, Ireland) This Reynoldsburg area Rev. War veteran was given a land grant on Black Lick Creek (in the so-called Refugee Tract of land) in 1802, and lived the rest of his life in the area. I have read the abstracts of the Revol. War Pension Files on him. He is an ancestor, and I believe we descend from Mary CRAWFORD, his daughter, who evidently married Alex OHR (our family later spelled it 'ORR'). FORSYTH, who listed Franklin County, Ohio, as his birthplace on his marriage license. William married Margaret J. FORD in Vigo County, Indiana, in 1887. Margaret was the daughter of Isaac FORD. DEMPSEY is the line. Samuel DEMPSEY died in Columbus, Ohio in 1969. His father also died in Columbus. No one knows his first name. He was married to Georgianna VOORHEES (born in Philadelphia, died {I presume} in Columbus in 1915) and they had five children, William, Harry, Samuel (my grandfather), Margaret and Raymond.

I am attempting to locate a cemetery in the Franklin County area.in which Martin R. SCHMIDT is buried. He d 12 Jan 1886 in Columbus, Franklin Co. OH. Wife named Eliza or Louisa (maiden name unk) b 1822-22 probably PA. No other info. Family resided Columbus, owned property. Have a copy of his will pulled from microfilm years ago that is in deplorable shape now. Census records indicate Martin was born in Germany, probably Bayrn. I've found nothing to indicate when or when he entered this country. I also believe the first wife of his son Jacob (who changed the surname spelling to SMITH) is buried in the Columbus area. Her name is Savanah MCDONALD SMITH, b ca 1838. No proof of death (or date) but ca 1875. Dixie Lee Kennedy

Shrum, his son now lives. ...native of Germany..18 or 19 yrs old emigrated to this country..lived couple years in Little York, PA then came to Franklin county and located in Hamilton twp....Jan. 1, 1809 he married Elizabeth McGranahan by whom he had seven children, she died in 1823 and he married twice afterwards, but had no children by these subsequent marriages...he was killed in 1859...at time of death he was over 88 years old....& My-g-grandfather Joseph W. BALL married Mary E. SHRUM on June 25, 1857 in Defiance Cty., OH Any information on BALL or SHRUM families would be appreciated.
