I would like to exchange information with other descendants of Frederick and Margaret (SMITH) STUMP and Abraham and Catherine (________) YANT. The STUMP family came to Stark Co. in 1808 from Franklin Co., PA. Abraham YANT (b. 1781) came with his father Philip YANT (1747-1826)and family about 1815 from Allegheny Co., PA. Does anyone have any information about Mary Elizabeth DENIG, b. 8 July 1866, d. 13 Oct 1921 in Columbus OH? She married Albert LEACH on 30 Jul 1887 in Franklin Co. OH. I have searched the census records, including a line-by-line search of the 1870 and 1880 census records for Franklin County (including Columbus), and the only match I found was a "Lizzie DENIG", age 3, living with Elizabeth and Mary ROMER (ages 33 and 18 respectively). The occupation listed for the older women was "Prostitute". I was unable to find any of these women in the 1880 census, and I don't know whether or not "Lizzie DENIG" is my "Mary Elizabeth DENIG", but she is the only age-match that I have found. Her death certificate lists her father as "DENING" and her mother as "unknown". Mary Elizabeth is called "Lizzie Denig" on the birth record of at least one of her children. Is there anyone out there who has any idea as to how I can get any further with this line? Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

SKIDMORE. Joshua Skidmore and wife Catherine and five children are in Huntingdon Co Pa., from 1770 to 1786, they are remove to someplace KY, from 1787 to 1796, where the father, Joshua dies. The family now moves to present day Franklin Co. Ohio in 1797, being early settlers there. Catherine died after 1830, at age 96.
