I'm researching the MacEachen family who moved to Columbus Ohio in the late 1860s or 1870s. I am lead to believe the Forename to be Neil, his wife was Either Elizabeth or Isabell(a). There were to have had approx.... 6 children. One Roderick MacEachern, possibly Mary and Margaret, I have no information on the others. The family was from Nova Scotia possibly via Boston MA. The name MacEachen is not a common name in the Ohio area during the period I mentioned.

The census film T9-1057 Neil McEachen is on page 229C in Shawnee Twp, Perry Co, OH. (Provided By Ron Hunter) Anyone who may be passing by the reference and may take a little look, I would greatly appreciate knowing the information contained on the microfilm.

HI: Wild story time. According to a deceased family reporter, a granddaughter of Leondius Cheatham of Meigs County, by his daughter, Kate, was Dr. Lizzie Cheatham who had an office in Columbus, OH. The reporter stated Kate had married a Walton so it would seem it should be Lizzie Walton vs Cheatham. If indeed she was a doctor in Columbus (a quasi Dr. Quinn), where might I find some record of her? Making the story a bit more interesting is the claim that Dr. Lizzie married the actor Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. I can find no such union listed in any of the bios I have seen. Ready to chalk this up as a wild family claim, I recently received info that buried in Leondius's family plot in Middleport Hill Cem (Meigs Co.) is one Dr. Elizabeth Fairbanks! d. 1932. Would appeciate any suggestions/guidance. Many Thanks, M. McTeer

Howdy,

I'm hoping someone on the mailing list may have some ideas where to look for information about Smith BAILEY. He is the father of Orange Bailey and husband of Rosemanty Rogers.

I know he was in Bradford Co., PA from before 1810 until about 1821. He then moved to Muskingum Co., OH and stayed there until about 1829. He was living in Dublin Twp., Franklin Co., OH in 1830, and in Norwich Twp, Franklin Co., OH in 1840. I cannot find him on an 1850 census, but I know he died in Marion Twp., Davis Co., IA in June 1862 at age 76. That suggests he was born in 1786.

I would like to know where he was born and who his parents were. Can anyone help me.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

I am trying to locate more children of my great-great grandparents.

They are Lewis A DAWSON born in Ohio c.1853 and Amanda SAMPSON born in Ohio c. 1853. They were married Aug 9, 1873 in Gallia County, Ohio.

They had John Justice DAWSON b. Apr 9, 1875 in Gallipolies, and Homer DAWSON.

John Justice DAWSON moved to Columbus, Ohio probably before 1908.

I just found out there was at least one other brother and some sisters. I don't know their names. One of the brothers also moved to Columbus and ran for councilman. He lived in the "north end" of Columbus.

Can anyone help?

I would truly appreciate it if someone could do a look-up on a death date for Dr. I. C. "Clark" EDWARDS of Franklin County. I believe he was a resident of Columbus. He was born c. 1852.

Any information regarding this physician and/or his family would be helpful.

Thanks!

Can anyone help find Elizabeth???

Elizabeth Kendal MILLER b: 21 Sep 1806 in Tulpehocken, Berks, PA
d: 1866 in Columbus, Franklin, OH
Wife of Obed Miller b: 01 Jun 1801 in Reading, Berks, PA m: 1826 in PA
d: 30 Dec 1883 in Columbus, Franklin, OH
Obed is buried at Greenlawn Cemetery in Columbus and his wife, Elizabeth is listed on his tombstone, but (I am told) cemetery records indicate no burial. Does anyone have any ideas about where to find Elizabeth? I joined the Genealogical Society so I could get some help on this question, but.........I guess they just have volunteers.

Thank you,
Dianna German Anderson
