Hi Tom and Maggie,
Thanks for the team effort in responding to my query.
Tom... Thanks for the information on the marriage of Elizabeth HAMILTON and William RANKIN.
I may be on a wild goose chase in my attempt to find a link to my CHANDLER ancestor; however, my best leads appear to be: (1) Mary Ellen CHANDLER was born 1805 in PA; and (2) she named a son Samuel Rankin RICHARDSON, born 1834 in OH.
Therefore, I'm researching the possibility of her grandparents being Jacob CHANDLER, Sr., born about 1735 in Chester Co., PA and Margaret RANKIN. So far three children of Jacob CHANDLER, Sr., and Margaret RANKIN have been identified by another researcher (thanks Allen) which is all new information to me:
1. Hannah b. Chester Co., PA, m. James Porter, Sr.; they had 9 children.
2. Elizabeth d. Sept. 8, 1845 Chester Co., PA, m. David Bailey and had 2 children.
3. Jacob, Jr. b. 1777 Chester Co., PA, d. 1834 Franklin Co., OH; m. Elizabeth Abrams b. 1781, d. Feb. 1845 in Franklin Co., OH; they had 12 children.
At the moment, the best lead which I have is the possibility of Mary Ellen CHANDLER being the daughter of Jacob, Jr. and Elizabeth Abrams CHANDLER, both of whom died in Franklin Co., OH or the daughter of an unknown brother of Jacob, Jr., named Rankin either as a first or middle name also migrating from PA to OH. This scneario fits the timeline for Mary Ellen CHANDLER to be born in PA and migrate with her parents to OH to have children. At the moment, I don't know if Mary Ellen married James RICHARDSON in PA or OH; although their place of marriage may be in PA since James was also born in PA.
Below is a Rankin CHANDLER marrying in 1793 and 1810 in Lincoln Co., KY; however, at the moment, I do not know if he is a descendant of Jacob CHANDLER, Sr., and Margaret RANKIN.
Rankin Chandler m. Catherine Worthington, 26 Dec 1793 in Lincoln Co., KY
Rankin Chandler m. Rosanna Bryant, 21 Apr 1810 in Lincoln Co., KY
Thanks again,

William supposedly died in "Franklin County" on March 25, 1913. I have conflicting information on his wife, giving her three spellings of her first name and three different last names. I am hoping that someone on this list either has access to Obits for Franklin Co and can look William up and maybe get info on her as well, or at least can point me in the right direction considering I don't live in OH any more. I believe that they may both be buried in the McClimans cemetary in Madison Co., but have no listings as of yet for that cemetary so don't really know. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am very new at trying to learn about family history so I hope I am not going overboard in asking for any help that you or anyone else could possibly give.
My wife's father was born William Yorke WOLFE on May 7, 1908, in Nevada, OH. He was married 2 June 1934 in Columbus, OH to Dora May HANN, born 4 April 1913 at Columbus, OH.
My wife, Sallyann Brannen, nee Wolfe does not know anything about her grandparents. We have a small clipping that says Harvey G. Wolfe age 71 died of a heart attack at home Sept 5, she believes 1954. She also believes that he died in West Jefferson, OH and is buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, ?. Harvey G. Wolfe was married to a Diamond BROWNE and at least one other lady who we do not know the name of.
William "Yorke" Wolfe had a sister named Germaine Wolfe who was thought to have been born in Nevada Ohio also. She died very young at the age of 21.
That is all we know, is there any information you could possibly give us?
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this. Gene C. Brannen, gs2george@aol.com.

In 1850 my G. G. Grandfather, John WILLIAMSON, and wife were living next to G. Grandfather Charles W. in Blacklick, Jefferson Twp, Franklin Co., OH. Charles moved to Henry Co. about 1862. I can find no further record of John W. I am 83 years old and would like to find what happened to John W. after 1850. He is not listed in 1860 census. Could any one help? Bob Williamson.

Hi to all on the Jordan List,
My name is Michael Law and I am doing genealogical research on my mother's family. I just found out about a long lost relative name Vonley JORDAN. Vonley was originally from Meigs Co., OH (I believe) and later moved to Franklin Co., Ohio. He was born in 1911 and died in 1963 Columbus, Ohio.
I was wondering if anyone had any information out there on him?? Please E- Mail me.
Thanks
Mike Law

Searching for information on BAEHR/BAHR/KNODEL/SCHAEFFING/ZANGMASTER/ZANGMEISTER. My grandmother, E. Elizabeth SCAEFFING, was married to John E. ZANGMASTER on 19 June 1913(probably in Grace Lutheran Chuch in Columbus, Ohio). Her parent's names were William SCHAEFFING(died 1902 or 1904 in Ohio) and Caroline BAEHR (born 4 April 1865 in Columbus, Ohio and died 27 October 1922 in Columbus). Caroline Baehr's parents, Charles BAHR and Catherine Knodel were both born in Germany. Catherine Knodels's parents were Charles Knodel and Magdalena (?).

I am looking for Patrick CONLEY'S death record and place burial. He was born about 1853 in Ireland and moved to Hayden, Brown Township, Franklin County. He married Nora SHEEHAN about 1876. Nora SHEEHAN was born about Oct. 1959 Ohio. I am looking for Nora parents and any siblings.

Looking for information on Robert W. DRAKE and his wife, Mary Jane (KING) Drake.
They seemed to have moved back and forth between Orleans County, New York and Grove City, Ohio more than once during the 1850s and 1860s. Robert was born in England in 1825 and came to the U.S. in the early 1830s. He grew up in Shelby, Orleans County, N.Y. Mary Jane was born in the town of Franklinville, Cataraugus Co. N.Y. in 1828. She was raised in Kendall, Orleans County, N.Y.
Two of their 5 children were born in Grove City. They were R. George Drake, born in 1855 and Mary Emily Drake, born 3/17/1860. The other three alternated with these two, Ella, born1852 in Albion, Orleans County, N.Y. James, born 1858 in Albion, N.Y. and Herbert, born 1867 in Shelby, Orleans Co. N.Y.
I have no idea why they kept traveling to Grove City. I haven't been able to find evidence of any other family in this area. Robert and Mary Jane are buried in Franklinville, Cattaraugus Co. N.Y. and their parents all died in western N.Y.
Any information on their time in Grove City, Ohio area would be much appreciated.
