Her father and family live down the street. Her brother's live between her parents and Henry's house. The 1860 census has her living with her father Stephen Pollock in her house. Her son Stephen Morton is living with his grandmother in her house. I am looking for Henry's father and mother's name, and his place of birth.

Augustus BIARS (b unknown/died 1916) and his wife Kate KRAUSE (b abt 1852/died 1932), lived in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio. Their last names are spelled various ways. Two of their children came to West Virginia: my ancestor Emma Catherine (b July 20, 1878/died Aug. 26, 1967) came to Abraham, Raleigh County, WV, and married George Washington SMITH Jr. and brother Fred came to Hinton, Summers County, WV. Sons, Augustus and Chris stayed in Ohio. Henry drowned in the Ohio River, one source says at 12 and another at 19. John left the state and the family never heard from him again. Cousins in Ohio recall the couple being German speaking immigrants but no one knows their country of origin.

Looking for information on Barrett or Burton GLASSBURN who married Delilah? I have a few names that could have been her maiden name. WALKER, DETERMANN, FERMIN I am not sure about any of these names. Barrett or Burton is listed on their daughters birth register. Mary Louella GLASSBURN. They also had another daughter, Amanda (Nannie) GLASSBURN. I found a story written about Delilah in the Columbus Dispatch that says she had as many ads nine children. I can find only two and they are listed as having the GLASSBURN man as their father. I am currently living in North Carolina, but was born and raised in Southern Ohio (mainly in Clermont County). BUREAU was my grandmother's maiden name: Dot Louise (Bureau) Watson (d.1972). The birthplace and birthdate of Daniel Weese are unknown, but his wife was born about 1786 in PA. Their children were Jacob, James, Elizabeth, Mary, Ruth and Sarah. The family moved to Hamilton County, IN by 1830, where Daniel Weese died interstate in 1838. Three of the children, James, Elizabeth and Mary all married Kirkendalls in Hamilton County, IN. They were originally from Monroe County WV and settled first in Lawrence County, OH and later moved to Gallia County, OH. Levi was born c 1797, married 30 April 1816 in Monroe Co. WV to Almeda ARNOT, d/o Henry and Elizabeth TRUESDALE ARNOT. On the 1840 Gallia County OH Census there are listed the following children in the household. 2 Males under 5: 1 Male 10-15: 1 Male 15-20: 1 Male 40-50, 2 Females 5-10: 1 Female 10-15: 1 Female 15-20 and 1 Female 30-40. In my research, I have been able to identify 5 of Levi and Almeda's children; John, b 1817; Levi, Jr, b 1835; Andrew, b 1839; Mary #, b 1842 and Eveline, b 1844. I am at a total loss as to who the other children are that are mentioned in the 1840 census. John CANTERBURY, b 1817 was already married prior to 1840 census. The 2 males under 5 are Levi, Jr and Andrew. Male 40-50 is Levi, Sr. Female 30-40 is Almeda. Would dearly appreciate any help.

I am seeking any additional information that you can add to these families. Pleasant (Plesent) WEBB1 was born about 1765. It is believed that he died between 1830 and 1840 (Ohio?). Around 1800 Pleasant and family came in to the Ohio valley from Rutherford County, North Carolina. In 1803 he was in Scioto County, Ohio and was said to be a notorious character, said to be a Tory during the Revolutionary War. Pleasant was in Greenup County, Kentucky in 1820 and in Lawrence County, Ohio in 1830, he did not appear in the 1840 census, so it is believed he died between 1830-1840. Pleasant (Plesent) WEBB and Unknown (Margaret?) BLACKWELL had the following children: Elias WEBB, James WEBB, (Thomas?) Hanley WEBB, Aden WEBB, William WEBB, Margaret WEBB, Baker WEBB, Sarah (Sally) WEBB, and Temperance WEBB. Later generations were in Scioto and Gallia Counties.
