Strange though is Virginia CAMPBELL and Alma are listed on the 1860 census as living with the Stephen D. POLLOCK family. She should have been married by then and I am wondering why she wasn't living with her husband who is not listed in the 1860 census UNLESS he is listed as COLE in the 1860 census who were living next door to the GEARONs. (Could COLE but mis-transcribed from CALL?). Isaac CALL m. Virginia CAMPBELL in 1858. Who were his parents and who were Virginia's parents. Henry CAMPBELL lived next door to the Pollock family in 1860 but he does not seem to be her father. George CAMPBELL lived next door to Henry and could possibly be her father. I need help with my "brick wall." This couple had their first child in Gallia County. He was George G. SCOTT, b. 05-13-1871, so if a marriage took place in Gallia County, it has yet it materialize. The possibility that the couple did not marry for some time is strong. David's parents, Jefferson SCOTT and Caroline HOCKADAY (both of Halifax, NC) did not marry until 1884, forty years after their youngest child was born. FHL Film 1255036 National Archives Film T9-1036 Page 157D, has the couple in Madison, OH, (Jackson County) (but without George). Were David and Mary Ellen Johnson married in Jackson County? The couple are both buried in Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria. I have death records on both, have names of all eighteen of their children, but I do not know of Mary's parents, when, where, or if she and David have a marriage record. Any help would be great help!

His name is Alexander Scott DUTTON died May 20, 1918 and was transferred back to Gallia Co. May 21, 1918.
