SURNAMES: MCMILLEN, MCMILLIN, HIGLEY, JONES
Ruth Higley was born 1808 in Gallia county, daugher of Elam HIGLEY and Jane MCMILLION (MCMILLIN). I believe this Jane McMillin was the daughter of Edward Tate McMillin and Sarah Reed, born 1787. However, other researchers show this Jane married to Thomas Jones on 24 Nov 1812. I believe this is Jane's SECOND marriage as Gallia County records show "Elim Higley married to Jane McMillion" on 18 June 1806. IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY THAT THERE WAS MORE THAN ONE Jane McMillin of the proper age to be Ruth's mother WAS living in Gallia County in 1808! Is is just COINCIDENCE that Ruth Higley and William Adney were married on 24 May 1822 by J.P. Edward McMillin? This Edward would then be Ruth's Grandfather, if his Daughter Jane is her mother. Well, she must be. Only makes sense. And that's all there is to it!

I am looking for any information about Vincent R. LINENKUGEL(1917-1942; son of David and Essie Buchanan LINENKUGEL) who was living in Gallia County in the early 1940s or possibly before. In his enlistment papers for the Army Air Corps, he listed Gallia Co. as his place of residence and his occupation as an auto mechanic. Vincent died at an air base in Mississippi in 1942 - non-battle related death - he died of a heat stroke and carbon monoxide poisoning. Some family members believe that Vincent was married, but I can find no records of a marriage. In 1982, Vincent's Aunt Anna BUCHANAN BIDDIX was visiting someone in Gallipolis and she died of a massive heart attack while there. Anna BIDDIX lived in NC and her body was returned to NC for burial.

SURNAMES: WADDELL, WHITE, HUGHES
I am trying to find or prove the parents of Margaret Jane WADDELL. Margaret Jane was b.10-26-1832 d.12-26-1857. She married Jacob D. WHITE in 1853. They had three daughters. Euphemia Ellen Addelle, Eliza Jane, and Elzina Margaret. I found an IGI record on the LDS website that says Margaret Jane was a daughter of William WADDELL and Elizabeth HUGHES. Margaret Jane would have been my great-great-great Grandmother. I have found numerous family trees on the web but, none of them include Margaret Jane WADDELL. I have photograhs of Margaret Jane's gravesite in Hulbert Cemetery.
