Lafayette Leeds was an engineer by trade. He was born in New Jersey, most likely Burlington County. He married Mary Ann McSweeney on 15 May 1850 in Hamilton County, Ohio and they had 8 or more children. (I'm still working on this.) I hope this can be of help to someone. I am researching Leeds in Hamilton and Clermont County, Ohio and will answer questions or share info.
