More information from Carolyn Lundgren:
David Sargent and Patty Batchelor were married in Cincinnati on 7 Jan 1819 by J. Mahard J.P. They were the parents of one daughter, Mary Jane Sargent. She was born in Cincinnati in 1819, and died 21 Dec 1880. She married first Henry DeCamp and second Arthur Burtus Crary.

Patty died shortly after Mary Jane was born. David died when Mary Jane was 12. Mary Jane, by her choice, stayed with Martha (her stepmother) and was reared by her.

David's second wife, Martha A. Brown, was the daughter of George and Martha Brown.

David and Martha A. Brown were the parents of 5 children. They are:
George C. Sargent born 28 Jan 1822 in Cincinnati. He married Margaret A. Vincent.
Maria Sargent born in 1824. She married Lewis French.
Emeline Sargent born in 1826 in Cincinnati.
Eleanor Sargent Born 4 Jul 1829 in Cincinnati and died 6 April 1833.
David Sargent Born 22 Feb 1832 in Cincinnati and died 1 April 1833.

After David's death, Martha Brown Sargent married James Collins on 21 Jan 1838 in Cincinnati and raised their (hers and David's) children.

David is buried next to his mother-in-law Martha Brown (mother of his second wife, Martha A. Brown).

David's brother, William (Sargent) and his family are also buried at Wesleyan.

Sargent Street in Cincinnati is named after David Sargent.
