Affectionately known as "Johnny Ray", he committed his life to helping people any and every way he could. He was the handyman in Camp Washington, where he lived. He had a gentle, quiet spirit that has left a lasting impression on the entire family and many friends.

Mr. Shepherd will be lovingly remembered by his loving family - his wife, Ruby FLint, his two daughters, Joanie Flint and Tiffany Shepherd and two sons, Mile Flint (and wife Debbie) & Johnny Ray Shepherd, Jr., as well as granddaughter, Leeann Flint and seven sisters and one half-sister, Florence Thompson, Opal Hartness, Eunice Lawson, Mattie Ray, Barbara Baker, Eulene Warman, Nancy Messer and Flora Patterson and two older brothers, Zack Shepherd and Phillip Shepherd. With the love of God he will be reunited with his parents, Lena Truett and William Shepherd and a host of other relatives and friends.
