The Photo Gallery

A collection of photos from the Cincinnati and Hamilton County area, of Wesleyan Cemetery and the individuals buried here.

You are invited to share your photos of Wesleyan Cemetery or of individuals that are buried in the cemetery to add to this gallery. It is my intention, eventually, to link the collected photos to the cemetery burial records, but I need you to help by submitting photos that you have access to.

Photo taken as you enter the gate off Colerain Avenue. You can see some of the work done by private individuals in cleaning up plots, as well as the untrimmed area on the hill in the background. The mausoleum is in the right center background up on the hill.

Mausoleum with rank grass growth all around. The building itself seems sound and could be restored with money and time. The gravestones are still piled up there.

North of the mausoleum, this dead tree dropped one of its branches in the past. Recently, someone sawed it up into movable chunks. (I suspect it fell across the road.)

This shows the interior of Section K. The ground is soft from moles and soggy from all the rain Cincinnati has had. The grass is long and thick and poison ivy is thick in some places.

This is the road between Sections K and R. You are looking westerly from the east end. Not the difference between maintained and un-maintained sections.

This shows another area cleared by folks around their own plot. The houses in the background are on the far side of Colerain Ave.
