Be it remembered that I WILLIAM HARRIS being week in body but of
mind and perfect memory blesssed be almighty God. For the same
the uncertainty of this mortal life do Make and publish this my last
and testament in manner and form following. that is to say first I give
DANIEL HARRIS my Eldest son twenty five dollars payable twelve months
my Deceas. 2d I give MELINDA HARRIS my Eldest daughter fifty dollars
twelve months after my deceas. 3d I give AMOS HARRIS my 2d son fifty
payble at the age of twentyone years and my Farm to be Sold as Soon as
time willl admit and after all debts And funeral charges and other
are payed the ballence to be equally divided between my four minor
namely WILLIAM And HENRY LUCINDA and PHEBE HARRIS. my sons paid when
arrive at the age
of twenty one years the two girls to be paid when they are 18 years of age. and I appoint JOHN SHORT to be guardian to persons and property of my four minor heirs and also I appoint the Sd Short to be Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 18th
of february in the year of our lord 1834. XX his mark.
Harris signed and Sealed published and declared by the above named WILLIAM HARRIS to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his Request and in his presence have here unto subscribed our names as witnesses to the same.
Proven by subscribing witnesses & admitted to record and Bond
Security approved: SAML ENYART, WILLIAM HARPER.
Appraisers: RICHD BOTKIN, JOHN HARPER & JAMES ROSS.
