I am seeking information concerning my great-grandfather Emmanuel ICENHOOD. He was born in Bucks County, PA in 1830 and died in Cadiz on July 31, 1903. He was a Union Soldier during the Civil War. His body is buried in the Cadiz, OH Union Cemetery. He was married to Emma Jane PATTERSON who was born in 1859 and died at her home on Deersville Ave., Cadiz on May 9, 1932. They were the parents of my maternal grandmother, Effie Mathilda (ICENHOOD) THOMPSON. Effie Mathilda married my grandfather, Charles Wesley THOMPSON. My mother's name was Emma Virginia (THOMPSON) DURBIN. She was married to my father, Raymond Francis DURBIN. Any information about the ICENHOOD, PATTERSON, THOMPSON and DURBIN names would be very helpful to me in my research. All of these families lived most of their lives in Cadiz and Harrison County.

DURBIN posted by L. Edward Durbin on Saturday, September 13, 1997

I am seeking information concerning the first name of my g-g-g-grandfather DURBIN. It is possible that his name was either Nicholas or Lawrence. There is some thought that once lived in Shortcreek Twp. in Harrison County. My g-g-grandfather was Thomas L. C. DURBIN who lived in Mt. Pleasant, OH (Jefferson County). My great grandfather was his son, John Presley DURBIN, born in Mt. Pleasant. My grandfather was John Francis DURBIN and my father was Raymond Francis DURBIN. The "missing link" in my family line is the name of the father of Thomas L. C. Durbin. Any information will be appreciated.
