DENING, DENNING, KELLEY, KELLY posted by Judy on Wednesday, October 1, 1997

I have been researching this line for the past three years without much success. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The lines I am researching are KELLY (KELLEY) and DENNING (DENING). My gggrandfatther was born in Harrison County, Ohio September 14, 1829 his name was John Denning. I believe his parents were Samuel and Elizabeth (Kelly) Dening. I have not been able to document this. Obituary did not name parents or his death certificate. Samuel Dening died in 1834 and his estate Jefferson county. Samuel and Elizabeth Dening were married in Jefferson county. I have found things listing them in Jefferson County, Belmont County, and Harrison County. I do not know if they moved or bourdary lines changed. I found Samuel Dening on the 1830 US cencus in Harrison County, The town of New Jefferson, in German Township. I do not know if Samuel or Elizabeth were born in Ohio or when they came to Ohio. I do not know who there parents were. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need any additional information please contact me. Thank you so much.

HALL, MCCONNELL, MOORE posted by Jadean (McConnell) Hopper on Wednesday, October 1, 1997

I am looking for a Sarah Jane HALL who married Hiram Franklin MCCONNELL on the 3 July 1868. There were three and possibly four children born to Sarah and Frank, William J.(my direct line), Theodore Hayes, Wherry and possibly a girl with the name of Dora. Not sure about the daughter. Sarah evidently died somewhere between 9 August 1879 and 1880 when Frank married a second time to Deliah/Meliah MOORE on the 4 August 1880. Is there anyone who is researching the HALL surname from either Tuscarawas County, or Harrison County, Ohio? If there is I would love to hear from you. I am stuck on this line. I have no idea who Sarah's parents were, any dates for her nor do I know where she died and where she was buried. I would appreciate any help that can be provided. Even if the name Sarah Jane HALL MCCONNELL isn't familiar I would like to hear from those with the HALL surname. Thank you for any help.
