Am looking for info on the family of Joshua DEULEA/DULY and his wife Avis. Any info is greatly appreciated. Joshua supposedly died in 1828 in Harrison County. Son Maxson was the administrator of the estate. Thank you! Jill Muncie 359 Twp Rd 199 W Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311-9732

I am searching for information on the following surnames - John KAIL and his wife Mary Ann TOPE married in 1840 in Carroll County, Ohio. They resided in Carroll and Harrison Counties until their deaths. Mary Ann died in 1878 in Perry Township, Carroll County. John died in 1895 in Loudon Township, Carroll County. Mary Ann was born in 1817 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Jacob TOPE and Sarah/Sally EVERHART, who married in Jefferson County in 1812. Mary Ann's siblings were: Sarah Ann, Francis, Deliah, John, George, Lucinda, Barbary, and Jacob, all born between 1817 and 1833. I am seeking information regarding Sally's parentage. John KAIL was born around 1815, possibly to John KAIL and Sally ARNOLD, who came to Harrison County around 1815-1820. The elder John KAIL was born in 1775 and may have died between 1820 and 1830 in Harrison County. I am seeking additional information on this John and Sally, including their death dates/places and names of their children. John KAIL was born to a senior John KAIL (b. 1756) and his wife Catherine ROUSCH (b. 1757). This John died in Harrison County in 1821. Catherine died in 1853. Their children were: George, John, David, Henry, Frederick, Betsy, Peggy, Mary "Polly", Jacob, Nancy, and Anny, all born between 1774 and 1803. Sons John and Jacob raised their families in Harrison County. Several of the others went to nearby Tuscarawus County. John and Mary Ann TOPE KAIL's children were: James M., Jacob T., Jason R., Sophia A., and Sanford Brady, all born between 1845 and 1857. The family was raised around Rumley Township, Harrison County and Perry Township, Carroll County. Jason R. and James M. KAIL both died in 1920 in Carroll County. I am seeking connections with Kail family members who descend from this John Kail and Mary Ann Tope. Jason R. KAIL (b. 1850 in Perry Township, Carroll County; a teacher) married first Anna Florence BAKER (b. 1860 in Leesville, Orange Township, Carroll County) in 1876. Anna's parents were Abraham BAKER and Caroline WATT, who married in 1856 in Carroll County. Caroline WATT was the daughter of John WATT and Martha AMOS, who married in 1828 in Maryland. John and Martha WATT also had children: Anna Eliza (THOMPSON), Mary M., Charlotte, John A., David Theodore, and William O., all born between 1829 and 1848. Abraham BAKER (a blacksmith) was born around 1831 in Harrison County, the son of Iven/Evan BAKER and Malinda/Belinda COX, who married in 1824 in Harrison County. Abraham and Caroline BAKER's other children were: Leroy (Lee; b. 1857) and Ross (HIXSON; b. 1867). Abraham and Caroline resided around Leesville, Orange Township and Perry Township, Carroll County. Abraham's parents, Iven and Malinda BAKER, resided in Harrison County. Melinda died in 1879. Iven died in Harrison County in 1886. Their other children were: (Reverand) Sheridan, Zachariah, Christina, Elizabeth, Samuel, Malinda (BRINDLEY), Susanna, and Leander, all born between 1824 and 1843. Iven was born around 1800, likely to Zachariah BAKER and Susannah WASHBURN, who came to Harrison County in the early 1800s. Zachariah died in Carroll County in 1841. Zachariah and Susannah BAKER's other children were: Nathaniel, Cassandra (MCELROY), Zachariah, Susanna (SMITH), Zebedee, John, and Eli, all born between 1796 and 1802. Most were married in Harrison County. I would welcome any queries regarding these family names in Harrison or Carroll County, as well as any connections I can make with descendants or those knowledgable of the above family lines. Thank you. Tami Stallard e-mail: Alternate e-mail:
