BARRETT, MORTON, SAYRS, SEARS, SING, SYNGE posted by Elizabeth E. Freeman on Thursday, January 1, 1998

I am endeavoring to trace the Jonathan SEARS/SAYRS (born in PA) family back to arrival in America. He married Susan/Susnnah SING/SYNGE (born in Chester Co.,PA). They are placed in Harrison Co., OH in 1809 when their third son was born. They were methodists; they had six children (Jonathan, Lemuel/Lamuel, George (born 5-8-1809 Harrison Co.), David (born 6-22-1815 Harrison Co.), Hannah, and Susan). He was a tanner by trade. They both died in Harrison Co. in 1839. George married Rachel BARRETT and is believed left Harrison Co. David married Margaret MORTON and they lived and died in Harrison Co. I have extensive informatoin on George Sears line. Am seeking information on any of the others. Thank you.

VANEMMON, WILLIAMS posted by Stan Wolfe on Thursday, January 1, 1998

They were married on April 12, 1851 in Coshocton County, OH, and their son John Edward WILLIAMS was born in Newcomerstown in that county. It is thought that William A. Haven't found any birth or death dates for William or Catherine. Any help in finding William A. WILLIAMS and/or Catherine VAN EMMON's Harrison County, Ohio connections is appreciated.

Seek information on Zebediah COX Jr., son of Zebediah COX Sr. who died in 1825 Harrison Co. OH, naming in his will wife Charlotte, sons Zebediah, Elijah, youngest son Harrison, daughter Ziporah and Sheridan, elder son of Zebediah. The 1830 census, Archer Twp. shows a Zebedee COX b. 1780-90 with a female of same age and a family of 3 younger males and 5 younger females.
