Looking for any information on John GRAHAM, m. Anne CAHILL 1819, in Tuscarawas Co., but John was living in Harrison Co. at the time. In 1832, they bought a farm in Tuscarawas Co., Union twp. John b.1786, possibly in Ireland>Boston?>Harrison Co. OH.>Tuscarawas Co. Some of John's children moved to Butler Co., IA, in 1859. Any information would be welcomed!

My grandmother wrote down the name and dates of her family history but left out places. I have Joseph HAINES m. Marry Ellen (or Helen) STEWART 6-8-1853. I think I have traced the family back to Harrison Co. at that time. Does anyone know where ther may be marriage records for this marriage? Thanks.

Looking for information concerning Catharine FLORY GREENWOOD. I believe her parents were Jonas FLORY and Catharine KNAGA FLORY of Harrison Co, Ohio. She was born in Ohio on Jul 4, 1830. Her family moved to Mercer Co, Illinois in 1838-1839. Her Obit states she was one of 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls, all of which preceded her in death. Unfortunately, the Obit does not name her parents or siblings.

Seeking information on a Abbie C. MELVILLE FIFE b. 1881 d. 1912 by either being pushed or jumped off a railroad bridge in Cadiz, Oh. Was married to John Robert FIFE b. 1873 and d. 7/19/1912. They were survived by 4 children Robert Doyle, Clara, Kathryn, Mary and preceeded in death by an infant. Both are buried in Bethel Cemetary in Jewett, Oh. Any help would be appreciated. Abbie was my GGrandmother. Thank you.

Clara H. GRAHAM married Aurelius HAWTHORNE 4 Nov 1880 in Harrisville, Harrison, OH. Aurelius was the son of Samuel and Jane HAWTHORNE earlier from Jefferson County, OH. I would like to know where Aurelius and Clara lived after they were married. I have much information on Clara GRAHAM that I am willing to share.

Ephraim L. FOREMAN listed that he was born in Harrison Co. OH in a marriage record in Jackson Co. WV. Judging from his age he would have been born about 1817. He first married in Athens Co. OH in 1847. I need to know if he is listed in the Harrison Co. OH census in 1850. I want to know when he was born and who his parents were. According to the 1880 Census his parents were born in MD.

I have received information that Willian HUNTSMAN married Mary ANDERSON on Feb. 29, 1820, and that this is contained in the Harrison county records. It further says that William died on Jan 8, 1883 in Shortcreek, Ohio. William and Mary's dughter, Caroline HUNTSMAN married Amos MORGAN IN 1851 Belmont County. Does anyone know how I could find records of this marriage and death? Is anyone researching these HUNTSMAN or ANDERSON families?

The following information was contained in a note in a family document: Thomas LAWSON settled at an early date on his homestead farm near union City, Belmont, OH., where he died in June, 1845. He married Mary SMITH of the same vicinity, who died March 25, 1833, aged 48 years.They both were members of the Presbyterian Church, Crab Apple Congregation. Thomas LAWSON was a member of the session for many years until about 1842, he with several others severed their connection with the Presbyterian church and organized a congregation of the Free Presbyterian Church at New Athens & called the Reverend Joseph Gordeon as pastor. The Free Presbyterian Church differed from the Old School church only on the question of slavery. They also re-organized Franklin College on an anti-slavery basis, electing an anti-slavery board of trustees, of which Thomas Lawson was one, and an anti- slavery faculty. Maria Lawson Scott, only child of Thomas and Mary, died september 30, 1831 at Cadiz OH. The family of three is buried in the Crab Apple Church Cemetery, Belmont County, OH. Epitaph on the tomstone of Maria L. Scott: While the dear dust she leaves behind Sleeps in they bosom, sacred clay Soft be her bed, her slumber kind Until her happy rising day. Maria LAWSON was married to Josiah SCOTT of Cadiz. they had a son, Lawson Scott, from whom I am descended. Can anyone help with information on the family or history of the congregation or college?

Looking for information on Jeremiah BRADLEY who moved to Harrison County, OH from Westmoreland County, PA in the spring of 1817. Married to Martha LUTE and lived about three miles from Scio on Hazville Road one mile from Hanover. Died there July 1854. Martha moved to Brown County, IN about 1863. Children born to this union: David m. Mary MORGAN; Mary m. John C00K; Joseph m. Isabella WHEATEN; Susanna Bradley m. George SHAMBAUGH; Mariah never married; Levi R. never married. Any information would be appreciated.

I am looking for info on the CAPPER and HEMRY families of Harrison CTY OH. Isaac HEMRY (1787-1868) married Delilah CAPPER (1792-1827.) Their daughter, Mary Hemry was born in Harrison Cty in 1814 and Delilah died there. Isaac also married Nancy MCCOLLOUGH in Harrison Cty. Any info on these families is appreciated!
