I am looking for James MAXWELL who may have come from or died in Harrison county Ohio. I don't know who his parents were but he was probably born around 1840 and married a Clarissa ? They had one child, Hennon b. Maxwell and James died when Hennon was about two. Hennon was born in 1864. I found Clarissa m. Joseph Lewis in Highland co. in 1870 and at that time they were living with a Maxwell family in Highland County but Hennon was not with them. I have been told that Hennon was raised by his Grandparents. Does anybody have a 1870 census for Harrison County that they could check to see if Hennon was there or perhaps someone knows if James died in that county in abt. 1866. Thanks so much.

Seeking birth & death dates of Oliver WALLER and his wife Mary Ann __ and Mary Ann's maiden name. Also seeking death dates of their son Isaac Thomas WALLER (b.25 Mar 1890 Dillonvale, OH, d. __ 1959 Cadiz, OH) and his wife Elizabeth Lillian CARTER (b. 30 Jan 1892 North Lawrence, Stark Co, d. __ 1971 Cadiz, OH). Isaac and Lillian are reported to be interred at Mt. Pleasant Cem, Cadiz but I don't find that cemetery in the cemetery listing for Harrison Co. Does it exist ? Thanks for any help.

Alexander SIMPSON buried at Rankins Cem. Harrison County, OH. born March 4, 1771 died March 22, 1841. Served in War of 1812, his son, Thomas was my great grandfather. Would appreciate any information about him.

Adam EYRE and Sarah HERFORD were married 02 Mar 1823 in Jefferson Cnty, OH by James ROBERTS. Adam had belonged to Hopewell MM in VA and later to Short Creek MM in OH. He was disowned for marrying out of unity. Adam was said to have been born Delaware Cnty, PA, moved to Berkeley Cnty, VA and then to OH. Where did Adam die? When did Adam die? Who were his parents? The marriage to Sarah HERFORD was his 2nd marriage. His first marriage was to Sarah LARKIN. Where did Sarah (LARKIN) EYRE die? She died after 1812. Adam's children from his first marriage were: Joseph Larkin EYRE b:1798, William EYRE b:1800, Nathan L EYRE b:1803, Lewis EYRE b:1804/5, Elizabeth Ann EYRE b:1808 and Ann S Price EYRE b:1812; all believed to have been born in VA prior to the move to OH. Any information appreciated. The name is usually pronounced "AIR".

I am looking for information on William M. KEESOR son of David KEESOR. William was born in Belmont Co. 7-1847. His son Thomas Henry or Henry Thomas was born in Sattfor ( which could possibly be Stafford in Harrison Co., OH ) in 11-8 1872, to an unknown mother. William and his son later moved to Wirt Co., WV. In 1884 William remarried and was listed as widower. There is also a Sylvester Keesor listed in a Wirt Co., WV census. Sylvester was 12 years younger than William, so they may have been brothers. Any information on the KEESOR name would be greatly appreciated.

I am interested in any information I can get on Clarissa VALLOU. She married George HOLLETT 1833 in Harrison County Ohio. She was born January 17, 1814 and died March 13, 1845. She is buried in Methodist Episcopal Graveyard, Freeport, Ohio. George and children moved to Davis County Iowa and George died there in 1882: He was the son of John Hollett and Elizabeth WORRALL of Harrison County.

In the 1850 Census of Freeport Township, Harrison County, Isaac ALLEN is listed to be 36, his wife Sarah BARRETT (Barrett is from marriage recording) is listed to be 33, Children, David B. ALLEN is 7, Rueben ALLEN is 4, Rebecca I. ALLEN is 1. All born in Ohio. I believe they are relative to Rueben & Joanne ALLEN of Harrison County but have no proof. I have a letter from Isaac son Rueben to his son William that the family move from Cecil County, Maryland before 1813. Will share what I have.
