Looking for Olver HENDERSON brother to John Henderson and Robert Henderson and Mary Margret. The Henderson family came to United States late in the 1790 and settled in Jefferson Co. possible Stuebenville Ohio. John married Jane GRADEN in 1810 and raised his family in bacon Ridge Ross Township. Robert went to Richmond Ohio and married a GRABB. There has been no history except that he had a lot of sons. Mary Margret Henderson stayed in Stuebenville Ohio no history. Olver Henderson came to Harrison Co. and was not heard from. Please post.

I am looking for information on John Wesley KELLAR born July 25, 1872. He died on May 13, 1950 and was buried in Freeport, Ohio. He was married to Virginia AMOS, but divorced. They had nine children: Hattie Pearl, Cora Mae, Auda Emiline, Ada June (my grandmother), Edward Van, John Wesley Jr., Hugh, Fannie, and Opal. His parents were Frank F. KELLER and Sarah W. Stein TAGGART Keller. Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

I have a connection to Harrison County. My grandfather was born in Cadiz and is buried there. I haven't found him yet. Name Charles S. PARKS born 9/28/1876. I believe his father's name may have been Robert. He lived on a farm in Cadiz as a youngster and resided in Franklin County on a farm during his marriage. I think he died sometime in the 1950's or late 40's.

I am seeking the last name of Jacob NARAGONG's mother. He was born in 1773 and died Aug. 2, 1846 in German Township, Harrison County, Ohio. He was married to Barbara GUTSHALL about 1797. Barbara also died in German Township on May 1, 1857. Jacob's father is Daniel NARAGONG and his mother is Susanna Catherine. I'm also seeking Daniel's birth and death dates and his parents. I'm researching the TIPTON's in Ohio and I'm trying to find out about three that was on the 1820 census for Harrison County , Green Twp. There names were William TIPTON age 30+45 , Nicholas TIPTON age 30+45 and Joshua Tipton age 30+45 . Finley WHITTEN, born March 16, 1818, died Jan. 29, 1887 in Harrison Co. Ohio. Married Eleanor HARDING on Oct. 27, 1839, in Harrison Co. Eleanor, born Nov. 24, 1825, died Dec. 21 1877. Both buried at Deersville Cemetery. Their son George Lincoln WHITTEN, said that there were 17 children. My sister has Finley`s bible. We have found 9 of his chlidren. Mary Ann, born April 5, 1842, died Jan. 30, 1844. Rachael D, born Oct. 30, 1843 died Aug. 28, 1906. She married Samuel UTTERBACK on May 11, 1871. Michial H , born Feb. 19, 1845. Charles Merritt, born June 4, 1854, died Oct. 2, 1932. he married Margaret E (Maggie) RILEY on Dec. 18, 1879. Mary Margaret, born Mar. 24, 1857. She married a ? GORDON James H , born April 17, 1859, died Jan. 15, 1887. He married Catherine E CHANEY on Dec. 15, 1887. Colonel Ellsworth, born June 4, 1863, died Nov. 15, 1906. He married Alice A DICKEY on Sept. 15, 1881. Anne Elizabeth, born Oct. 9, 1865. George Lincoln, born May 17, 1861, died July 16, 1956. He married Ellen (Ella) Mae BAER on Oct. 8, 1881. Looking for info. on William WHITTEN. I have no dates on him. I believe his wife was a YOUNG. Records show that he purchased two tracts of land in Harrison Co., Deersville area. The frist one in 1828 and the second in 1831. it says he was from Jefferson Co. at that time. I have some of his children. Nelson who married Laney DUNHAM on Sept. 29, 1833 in Harrison Co. John DOWNING, my G.G.Grandfather, born 1801-died 1873 in Joy, IL. Married Eleanor LEE c.1830-Children incl John Jr, Robert, William, Eleanor, Vanceline (my Grt Grandmother 1st married Thomas COOKE in 1866, 2nd Dr. Charles COBB in c.1875) and Catherine married a HAYS and lived in St. Clairesville. John DOWNING may have been born in Pennsylvania, and came to Harrison County as a young adult. We believe he met and married Eleanor Lee in Harrison County. My G.G. Grandfather George COOKE was born in Harrison Co. His son Thomas married John Downing's dau. Vanceline. She remarried after Thomas' death to Dr. Charles Cobb of Cadiz. 3 generations of Cooke's and Vanceline are buried in Unity Cemetery.

Looking for any info on William and Matilda HOWSE of Franklin Township, Harrison County. I know only that they are buried in a local cemetery with death dates of 1864 and 1863 respectively. Am trying to connect them to Ellen HOWSE (1838-1908) who married Robert DICKS in 1857 and Elias BAKER in 1865. Ellen is my great grandmother. Does anyone have access to the census records for 1850? I need to know if Ellen is listed as William and Matilda's daughter. Thanks for any info you can provide.

Correction to previous post -- Trying to locate information about my Grandfather John Jackson EARLY (EARLEY) B 1829 Harrison Cty married Margaret EVERSON in 1851 in Bedford Township, Coshocton Cty. Thanks to anyone able to help me :) They had three children while living there: Everson Early B 1852; Howard Early B 1854 and Morgan Early B 1857 before they moved to Illinois.
