Hetuck Chapter Information
Hetuck Chapter usually meets each month, September through December and March through June. Due to holidays some meeting dates are changed. We meet with a luncheon followed by our scheduled speaker or activity. Our business meeting follows.
Each meeting is held in a different location. We have several "regular" churches where the ladies of the church prepare us wonderful home cooked luncheons. We also meet occasionally at Moundbuilders Country Club, Millers Essenplatz, other local restaurants, and usually, once a year, in the meeting room at the Newark Public Library.
The meal at the library is provided by several of our members and attendees give a donation for the meal to help boost our treasury. This meal along with our annual "silent auction," sale of Innisbook, Current, and pocket calendars are a few of our fund raisers so that we can participate in the endeavors of Daughters of the American Revolution.
For the past three (6) years we have had an annual "Tea" and many of the ladies dress in their "tea" dresses, hats, and gloves and sip many flavors of tea and nibble on finger sandwiches and, of course, a variety of sweets.
Basically, we try to visit with each other, have an enjoyable meal and program, and attend to the business of our participation in Daughters of the American Revolution.
If you have an interest in becoming a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, please visit the link for the National Society DAR. If you are interested in Hetuck Chapter in Newark, Ohio, please contact Nancy Rey or Nancy Ciroli.
