EDS. REFLECTOR.—As the old year has passed away, so ____ Many, very many whom we have loved. ---m have died surrounded by near and dear ones, while other have fallen suddenly and unexpectedly.  Some, young and buoyant with prospects of a long life of usefulness, have closed their eyes upon all the loved here, while others have been gathered like a shock of corn fully ripe.

 HANNAH MILLER

The burial services of Mrs. HANNAH MILLER were attended on Friday last at the house of BUSHNELL POST, Esq., in New London township, Mrs. M. was the widow of JOHN MILLER, Esq., well known by al the early settlers of Huron County.  Her native place was West Springfield, Mass., where she was born in 1787.  When about thirty years of age she married JOHN MILLER and removed to Hinsdale, New Hampshire, where they lived several years.  In 1825, they came to Norwalk where they lived until 1839, in the spring of which year they removed, to New London township, where Mr. Miller owned a large farm.-

For thirteen years they carried on farming, and as at that early day labor having machinery was not much in use, a large force of men had to be employed, numbering at times as high as twenty, all taking their meals there.  Mrs. M being a strong, healthy person, even tempered, and kindly disposed, stood up well under this great burthen.-

She was the mother of three sons and two daughters, all of whom are now living.  For the last three years she had been an invalid, having received a fall from which she never recovered so as to be able to walk a step.  She, however enjoyed her sleep and meals and the use of her faculties to a remarkable degree up to the time of her death.  A few well chosen words were spoken by Rev. Mr. PIERCE, at the house, when the procession was formed under charge of B. FANNING, Esq., and proceeded to the cemetery where the body rests beside that of her husband who died twenty years ago.
