JAMES T. HUNTER, JR.
BIRMINGHAM – James T. Hunter, Jr., 56, Market St., Birmingham, died Tuesday afternoon at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born in Chicago, Ill., and had lived in Birmingham for the last 25 years.
Mr. Hunter was a salesman for the Union Carbide Corp., Indy Division, Cleveland office, for the past 36 years. He was a member of the Birmingham Methodist Church and a charter member of the Firelands Lions Club. He and his wife Lucretia celebrated 34 years of marriage Dec. 12.
Additional survivors include four sons: James T., III of Seattle, Wash., Michael A. of Marion, Scot K. of Tacoma, Wash., and Jonathan B. of Birmingham; two grandchildren; his mother Mrs. Clara M. Hunter, Evanston, Ill., and one brother Robert A. Hunter of Joliet, Ill.
Friends will be received at the Gerber Funeral Home, Wakeman from 7 to 9(?) p.m. today and from 2 to 4(?) and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Friday from the Birmingham Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Birmingham Cemetery.
