James Murray
"At his home in Wakeman, Ohio, Friday, Sept. 1st, 1911, James Murray, aged 72 years, 2 months and 12 days.
Mr. Murray was born in Ireland June 18th, 1839, and came to America in 1871. He was married April 28th 1862 to Miss Catherine Guthrie. To this union were born nine children, seven of whom, with the mother, survive him. John B. of Wellington; James L. of Wakeman; Mattie at home; Mrs. T. H. Burke of Bellevue; Mrs. P. T. Rooney of Kipton, and Anna and Elnora at home.
The funeral was very largely attended from St. Mary's Church. In Wakeman, Monday, and burial in the Catholic cemetery in Wakeman. Rev. John Kelly sang Solemn High Mass assisted by Rev. Edward Burke, of Elyria, and Rev. John Ruffing, of Bellevue. Mr. Murray was a man noted for his honesty and uprightness, highly esteemed by all who knew him, and this community was made better for his having lived in it."
