JOHNSON POST, NO. 613,

Was chartered in October, 1886, and meets once a month, Fridays, on or before full moon. George W. Johnson, for whom it is named, enlisted at Jackson, fall of 1862, in Company H. One Hundred and Seventeenth Ohio Volunteer Infantry, which in August, 1863, became Battery H, First Ohio Volunteer Heavy Artillery. He was promoted Sergeant, and served out his term, mustering out at Knoxville, Tennessee, July 25, 1865. He died at Cross Roads, Jackson county, May 29, 1886.
