Gayle and Marlene Oller, daughters of Dorothey Mayhew Oller and Chuck Oller are seen here with their Uncle, Sam Keys. Sam was the brother to their grandfather William James Keys, who was father to Mabel Leona Keys Mayhew their grandmother.

Joseph Franklin Purviance, son of Dr Thomas Harlan Purviance and Sarah Maxson Purviance, was born August 27,1836 in Notingham, Ohio. He attended Franklin College in Ohio and Philadelphia University Medical and Surgical in Pennsylvania, graduating 1865. One of his many achievements was the making of patent medicines in Steubenville, shown here is one called a cathartic cordial, and the store from which it was sold was Beall and Steele Wholesale Drug House in Steubenville. His brothers and sisters were Nathan Maxson, Mary Ann(Mrs David Lowmiller), Thomas Harlan, Susannah, Samuel Thompson, and William A.. His wife was Mary F. Day , marrying her on October 23, 1860 , Children to follow were Eva, Ida, Florence, Thomas Benjamin, Grace, and Emma. Dr. Joseph Purviance died September 3,1920, and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett, Ohio.
