W. J. HARRIS, was graduated from the Mt. Pleasant High School and afterward engaged in teaching school for several years before becoming identified with the Harris Lumber Company. He is a resident of Pittsburgh, Pa., where he is president and general manager of the Ellwood Lumber Company of that city. He married a Miss Gunder, of Minerva, Ohio. W. J. Harris was interested in the Ellwood Lumber Company, which entered into business in March, 1893, and so continued until February 1, 1905. He along with E. B. Harris and C. W. Harris then organized the East Ohio Lumber COmpany, changing to the Harris Lumber Company on February 1, 1909. This company are manufacturers and dealers in lumber and builders' supplies and the enterprise is one of great business importance in this section.
