Our Purpose
The purpose of the Sons of the American Revolution is to perpetuate the memory of those who, by their services and sacrifices during the war or American Revolution, achieved the independence of the American People.
Through this, We encourage an appreciation for true patriotism, respect for national symbols and seek to perpetuate the stories of patriotism, courage, sacrifice, tragedy, and triumph of the men who achieved the independence of the American people.

SAR Pledge
We descendants of the heroes of the American Revolution who, by their sacrifices, established the United States of America, reaffirm our faith in the principles of liberty and our Constitutional Republic, and solemnly pledge ourselves to defend them against every foe.
