Lake County Ohio GenWeb
Kirtland Family History Center (FHC) maintains a large collection of microfilm, microfiche and books relating to Lake County Genealogy and much more. Below is a listing of all of the Lake and Geauga County materials they have along with some of their Cuyahoga materials that pertain to Willoughby (part of Cuyahoga until 1840) and Trumbull County, parent of Geauga. Selected Ohio items pertaining to Lake County are also included.
We thank Family History Center director, Lou Tychonievich and staff of the Center for preparing and sharing their database. It has been edited for presentation here. The computer database at the FHC (of which this is a small part) includes a large collection from Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Trumbull and other counties, states and countries. This list is current as of September 2004, but the FHC listing is updated monthly. Before ordering any film from the Family History Library, be sure to check the FHC's listing to see if the film is already on permanent loan here in Kirtland.
The FHC is open for research Wednesday - Friday 10 am - 2 pm and 7-9 pm. To find more information about the contents of any materials listed, use the web site at www.FamilySearch.org and go to the Catalog. You can search by place name or by microfilm/fiche number and view film details. This site also has more information on finding and using Family History Centers.
Caution: this file will print about 20 pages.
