home at 521 Mentor Ave., Painesville a classic Western Reserve architectural example on the National Historic Register. TW Morgan and Ross A. Greenwood bought it in about 1915 or so and the Greenwoods owned it until about 1976 or so. During the 30's and early 40's it was a general gathering place for Lake Erie College girls. (There were two handsome boys living there -- Morgan and Douglas and their Mother Katie kept an open kitchen with fresh home-make oatmeal cookies always on tap). The girls would come through the hedge, come in the back door and visit at will. Lots of girls as I understand it. Cigarette smoking was allowed at 521 and Katie played the piano by ear. ca 1916 Collister Farm, Madison, O Found in a bric-a-brac shop in Cromer, Norfolk, England in 2002, one of several old 5" X 4" glass plate negatives encased in it's own paper negative envelope. Written in ornate handwriting: "No. 12.....Name: Collister Farm, Madison, O.. Remarks: Exp. 1/50... Time: 3:45 pm." Rubber stamped, "C.D. Swingler... 13531 Euclid Ave....
