Here is a special opportunity to travel with friends and acquaintances from the Lake County Genealogical Society, to visit the brand, new Allen County Public Library, on a 3 day/ 2 night Autumn adventure.
The historical and genealogical departments of this special library continue to offer a tradition of excellence for Genealogists from across the U.S.
Originally organized in 1961, the library’s collection contains over 220,000 printed volumes and over 260,000 microfilm and microfiche records. Because of the collection’s size and continuous growth through new purchases, the ACPL is a gold mine for everyone from the novice to the expert research aficionado.
Below is a partial list of the information available --
Family histories; Federal, State and Territorial Census records; City Directories; Passenger lists from New York, Baltimore, Boston, New Orleans and more; Military records starting with the Revolutionary War of 1776; Native American Records; African- American Records; Canadian, British Isles and other country records.
Our trip itinerary has been designed to aid genealogist and researchers in their quests, by providing the opportunity to benefit from this excellent source in the most efficient way for a group visit.

Our 3 day/ 2 night, Autumn adventure will include deluxe motorcoach transfer, 2 nights hotel stay at the newly remodeled Econo-Lodge of Ft. Wayne with breakfast included. Space is limited to One bus.
