The historical and genealogical departments of this special library continue to offer a
tradition of excellence for Genealogists from across the U.S.
Originally organized in 1961, the library’s collection contains over 220,000 printed
volumes and over 260,000 microfilm and microfiche records. Because of the collection’s
size and continuous growth through new purchases, the ACPL is a gold mine for everyone
from the novice to the expert research aficionado.

Family histories; Federal, State and Territorial Census records; City Directories; Passenger
lists from New York, Baltimore, Boston, New Orleans and more; Military records starting with
the Revolutionary War of 1776; Native American Records; African- American Records;
Canadian, British Isles and other country records.
Our trip itinerary has been designed to aid genealogist and researchers in their quests,
