NEW -
The L.C.G.S. Library is now open on Wednesday evenings from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm
in addition to the Wednesday afternoon hours of 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
This will allow patrons 6 1/2 hours of research time on Wednesdays.

 

The Licking County Genealogical Society's Library is Open to the Public: Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 1 - 4 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. -
NOTE: New extended hours for Tuesday and Thursday.

A new web page was added for Yesteryear Pictures.
There are now 2 pages of pictures and you can navigate between the pages.
On
Yesteryear Pictures page 2 are thumbnail pictures from the Kussmaul Collection
donated by LCGS member and past volunteer Joe Bagent.
Each thumbnail photo is linked to the enlarged photo on a separate web page.
Each photo web page has the photo enlarged and a navigation menu.
Ronna Eagle scanned the photos and labeled them.
Many of these photos are of the Downtown Newark area with a few from the surrounding area.
The photos appear to be from the decades of the 1910's, 1920's and 1930's.
I'm sure you will find the photos interesting and exciting to see.

These pension files are linked from the above names on the

Additionally, information about Revolutionary War Soldier, Jonathan Benjamin
has been found that he also served in the French and Indian War.

L.C.G.S. Volunteer, Terry Cooperrider, has donated a PDF file of the
Klinger Family for One Hundred Years
A family tree drawn by S.O. Klingler in 1909.
Terry Cooperrider had his copy scanned and converted
into a PDF file which can be enlarged for viewing.
It is Terry's desire to share it with all who are interested.
