LICKING COUNTY GENEALOGY CLASS ATTENDEES MEET

Members of the Licking County Genealogical Society ‘Beginning Genealogy’ class attendees
met for their final session in April 2004 at the LCGS library. The sessions have been held, twice monthly at both
the LCGS library on the 2nd floor of the Newark Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Newark, OH, and Zerger Hall, (Licking
County Aging Program, 745 East Main Street, Newark, OH. They began in early September and have concluded for the
Summer months. Members of both classes met in a combined session at LCGS library for a presentation by Vicki Sulpher,
LCGS Cemetery Chair, on “Researching Cemeteries”.
Ronna's classes have covered subjects such as "Making Sense of the Census",
"Finding Ancestors with Tax Records", "Organization of Records", "Courthouse Research",
"Deeds-Land Records", "Lineage Groups-Documentation Needed", "Learning How to Identify
Old Photos, Era, etc.", "Cemetery Research - Records", "Genealogy Software", and much

and open to the public.
Ronna has also shared her expertise by presenting instructional lectures for various
groups
such as Church groups, educators, libraries, etc.
