Queries

To post a query, click on the query button at the bottom of the page to find form where you may enter the following information:

• Your Name:
• Email Address:
• Subject
• Surname List
• Message
• Optional Link URL
• Optional Link Title

Tips for successful queries:

• Provide your Name and Email Address to receive response from researchers.
• Identify the primary surname (last name) of query in the Subject.
• Include primary and closely-related family surnames you are researching in the Surname List (one surname per line, no punctuation, upper or mixed case).
• Specify information you need in the Message. Specify whether your query is regarding a family, surname, specific individual, event, location, or research problem. Provide any information you have that is pertinent to this search, including dates and specific locations (especially county and state). Example:

Looking for information about John DOE, b.c. 1806, PA; married to Jane SMITH in 1826 at Wheeling WV. Died 1870 in Pickaway County, OH.
